I believe deeply that the Internet should be fully experienced by everyone, including those with visible and invisible impairments. To this end, I am committed to doing my best to make my corner of the Internet more accessible for everyone I serve.
My Philosophy on Accessibility
I believe that accessibility is best achieved when it is integrated into organizational culture; this means every action I take will be done with accessibility in mind — from the materials I create that my clients and website visitors can’t see, like our internal communications, to the materials they can see, like this website. When I educate my nonprofit clients on web accessibility, I share this perspective with them so that accessibility isn’t an afterthought.
What We’re Doing
Through my ongoing accessibility efforts, I am diligently working towards conforming to level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1. Because there is always room for improvement, I regularly perform manual checks to review and assess the code and the content included on this website, and I commit to taking action when I fall short.
